Description
“Giulio Cesare in Egitto” is another opera composed by George Frideric Handel. It’s one of his most famous works and was first performed in 1724. The opera tells the story of Julius Caesar’s conquest of Egypt and his encounters with Cleopatra. It features some of Handel’s most well-known arias, such as “V’adoro, pupille” and “Da tempeste il legno infranto.”
